You are the show

Step into the spotlight

Imagine standing on the stage of a huge concert. The room is dark, haze makes the beams visible, and sixteen moving lights project colours that cross, travel and transform the space.

Now imagine that you do not need to be a rock star to control the show. All you have to do is step closer and move your hands.

Like a Star is an interactive audiovisual installation that puts visitors at the centre of a light performance. Darkness, atmosphere and moving beams combine to create an immersive experience reminiscent of a live music stage.

Light responds to your gestures

The installation features 16 moving lights that produce colourful beams. Through a gesture-based interaction system, you can influence the direction of the lights.

To begin, step into the interaction area and bring both hands together. Once the interaction is activated, move your hands in different directions and watch how the lights respond to your gestures.

Suddenly, your movements become more than everyday actions: they become commands that shape the show. Guide the lights, explore different positions and discover how the composition changes when you take control.

Why can we see the beams of light?

In a dark room, a beam of light is not always visible along its entire path. To make it visible in the air, an atmosphere containing suspended particles is used, such as the haze produced by a theatrical haze or fog machine.

These tiny particles scatter some of the light passing through them, allowing us to see the beams as luminous lines travelling through space. Without this atmosphere, we would generally see the illuminated points and the surfaces where the light falls, rather than the full beams themselves.

The result is a three-dimensional composition of moving lines, colours and shadows that seems to draw itself directly in the air.

From spectator to performer

In many shows, the audience watches the action from the outside. In Like a Star, that relationship changes: your body and gestures become part of the experience.

The installation combines stage lighting, gesture-tracking technology and a visual atmosphere inspired by live concerts. Rather than simply watching a programmed show, you can intervene and discover how a simple action can transform what happens around you.

Every visitor can explore the space in their own way and create a different experience.

Your moment to shine

Step closer, activate the interaction and let your hands guide the beams of light. Try gentle movements, change direction and watch the stage transform.

You do not need to know how to dance or have any experience with lighting. All you need to do is experiment.

In Like a Star, you are not here to watch the show. You are here to be part of it.
